We had a decent ride. Being experienced riders, it was a bit boring to ride at only a walk. However, our family who had never rode before had a great time. One of our guides, Olivia, was wonderful. She helped all the riders willingly and was very personable. Brandon, on the other hand, was very rude. He was not helpful at all. He neglected to help my 8 year old cousin who had never rode before when his saddle was tipping. Only when we were a few minutes to the barn did he get off his horse to fix the saddle, even though it was sliding more than half the time. In addition to this, when I asked him to tighten my girth before the ride because I could tell that it was far too loose, he told me that it was fine and I was the one wiggling in the saddle. When he finally adjusted it, he was able to tighten it a lot, contrary to what he told me. He also neglected to tell us that the horses were not trained to follow simple voice commands, like walk on, which most horses (including our own) are. Then, he got mad at us for using these commands because the horses didn't know them, yet he never told us this. While Brandon ruined our experience, the horses were very obedient and easy to ride, Olivia was great, and the scenery was beautiful.
You can ride a dead broke safe horse in the beautiful Badlands . It's slow and Dusty.

I had trouble booking online. Their site doesn't work on your mobile very well, but it did on the laptop. I highly suggest just calling for reservations.
The staff was friendly and helped you adjust your saddle.. They had dogs and cats, too that you could pet while you waited.
Fun, slow walk. Perfect for those who have never been on a horse. Shy was a wonderful guide!
They ride was just right with various hills to go up and down. The view was amazing.
