Nice park..they have made some nice improvements to the horse camping.

They have no electricity. You have to have certified hay. park pass per vehicle. Pay per site, per person, and per horse. You can only ride the mah dah hay. You can't ride on bar X Ranch land if you stay at Sully creek. Roger the last camp host was awesome!

We found this hidden gem online and made our reservation the same way. It's conveniently located just a couple miles south of Medora and tucked away in a quiet valley very close to the Little Missouri River and has access to the Maah Daah Hey Trail. The $12 camp ground fee and $5 one-day SP entrance fee (and, $4 online reservation fee) were very reasonable for the pleasant accomodations and amenities. During our two-night stay, we had two different wooded camp sites. Each site has a fire pit, picnic table and plenty of room for a large tent or pop-up. Other sites were in the grassy clearing to accomodate large RVs. Amenities include: 6 pay showers ($1 for 8 minutes of lovely, hot water) with hot water at the sinks, too, latrines, 2 water spickets with refreshing potable water (we filled water bottles every day and enjoyed the cool, crisp water), and even horse corrals for campers pulling horse trailers (not us). After arriving and discovering that there was always plenty of room and some available sites, we decided our next stay at Sully, we wouldn't need to reserve online (and pay the extra fee).

No services for the rate. Camp ranger was very nice!

Hardly any bathrooms and the biffy is very far from campsites. ??? I can't understand why there are hot showers, but no bathrooms here. If there are more bathrooms, they are hidden, because I asked another camper and he was also unable to find any other bathroom. Teddy Roosevelt's camping is better, but they were full.
